Stronger social cohesion will lead to a nicer environment for people to live, a stronger sense of safety and more opportunities for new entrepreneurs to start a successful business. The White label project works on the development of an innovative solution to enhance the social cohesion in neighbourhoods in Stockholm with a low sense of community. This solution is developed by an interdisciplinary team of students from different universities, mentored by social entrepreneurs from The Hub Stockholm and Hjärta.Hjärna.Cash. The working title of our current project is For Farsta.
Stockholm has many residential areas with little social interaction between neighbours. Many people almost live as strangers next to each other and don’t know with whom they are sharing the apartment building. Although everyone is free to decide how they interact with their neighbours, we believe there is room for improvement and that a sense of community will improve the way people experience their environment.
We have chosen Farsta because of its role as a central meeting point for people of all ages. Farsta has a broad mixture of cultures and backgrounds, it is a place for interaction and it plays a substantial role in the Southern part of the Greater Stockholm area. With the demographic changes and the growth found in the region, Farsta has great potential for future development.
We are an independent team of young professionals with different cultural and academicals backgrounds and experiences. We work on this project with the aim to find methods, products or services that increase the sense of belonging for the residents of Farsta. The project is initiated by Kathleen Asjes and Geert Van Den Boogaard, members of HUB Stockholm.

Throughout the project we receive support from various public and private organisations and institutions that act either as partners (Stockholm Stad, Atrium Ljungberg, Hotspots, Hjärta Hjärna Cash) or as sponsors (Vinnova, Podio).
